Gmail SMTP Integration
Follow the steps below to integrate your Gmail account to Desk360. First, update your Gmail email account's IMAP protocol information by following the steps below:
Sign in to your Gmail account.
Select the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen, then select Show All Settings.
From the top menu, select Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Click the Enable IMAP button in the IMAP access section and save your changes.
To create a password for the email app, follow these steps:
Select Manage Your Google Account from the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Select Security > Signing in to Google > App Passwords. If you don't see App Passwords, two-step verification hasn't been enabled on your account yet. Enable two-factor authentication.
Select App Passwords, then select Mail from the Select App drop-down menu.
After selecting the device you are using, you will be presented with the 16-digit application password. Make a note of this password in a secure place.
Now we will integrate this information into your Desk360 account:
Log in to your Desk360 account and navigate to Products & Channels > Product Selection > E-mail.
Check that the e-mail channel toggle is on. Select Your Own Email Server to open the SMTP Settings. Fill in all of the fields.
In the Incoming Email Server field, type imap.gmail.com and in the IMAP Port field, type 993. Make sure the Use SSL box is checked. In the Authentication field, enter your Gmail account's user e-mail and the application password you received in the previous step.
In the Outgoing Email Server field, type in smtp.gmail.com and in the IMAP Port field, type in 465. Make sure the Use SSL box is checked. In the Authentication field, enter your Gmail account's user e-mail and the application password you received in the previous step.
After filling in all the fields, select the Save button to apply the SMPT settings.
In the Outgoing Email Server box, type smtp.gmail.com.tr, and in the IMAP Port box, type 465. Make sure the Use SSL box is checked. In the authentication box, enter your Gmail account's user e-mail and the application password you received in the previous step's last step.
When you've finished entering all of the information, press the Save button to complete the SMPT settings.
